Events

The event's target audience is:

  • Students and faculty from PPLSA;
  • Students and faculty from the UFPA campus in Bragança;
  • The entire academic community.

 

The Bragança University Campus and the PPLSA of the Federal University of Pará will hold, from September 9 to 11, 2025, the 4th edition of SILSSA - International Seminar on Languages, Knowledge and Sociobiodiversity in the Amazon, with the theme COP 30 IN BRAGANÇA: QUALITY EDUCATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE.

 

 

The event 'PROCAD: Nas Teias da Amazônia - Interdisciplinary Research and Dialogues' is taking place in three partner institutions: the first encounters happened on May 20th and 21st at UNIOESTE - Cascavel (PR); this second stage took place on June 2nd and 3rd at UFOPA - Santarém (PA); and the last encounter will take place on June 5th and 6th at UFPA - Bragança (PA).

The event 'PROCAD: In the Webs of the Amazon - Interdisciplinary Research and Dialogues' is taking place in three partner institutions: this will be the last meeting, which will take place on June 5th and 6th at UFPA - Bragança (PA).

The class of Theories of Education in the Postgraduate Program in Education (PPGED/ICED/UFPA), together with the class of Languages and Intercultural Knowledge in the Program Linguagens e Saberes na Amazônia (PPLSA/Bragança/UFPA), is pleased to invite the entire academic community to talk with Catherine Walsh about her work "Agrietar la Uni-Versidad: Reflexiones Interculturales y Decoloniales por/para la vida".

 

This is a unique opportunity to reflect and share knowledge with one of the most important references in decolonial studies today.

 

The meeting will be held online, with a certificate of participation issued, on May 12, from 11:00 to 13:00 (Brasília time), with a live broadcast on the channel:

Take part in the PPLSA research Wednesday, which will take place on  april 29 at 16h, both online via Meet and IRL. The themes of this edition will be "Ethnic-Racial Education and the Intersectionality of Gender, Race and Class Oppressions Experienced by the Black Population in Brazil" and "Intersectionality and Deaf Studies in the Bragantina Amazon". The event will be mediated by Prof. Dr. Joana d'Arc de Vasconcelos Neves Tavares. Don't miss it!
